Comedian James Johann With his quick wit, self-deprecating charm, and high-energy delivery, James brings a uniquely relatable and laugh-out-loud perspective to the stage.
Born in the Midwest during the bell-bottom era of the 1970s, James grew up surrounded by country music, Catholic school discipline, and a parade of questionable haircuts. After being fired from a string of “McJobs,” he found his true calling in stand-up comedy—and he’s been making audiences laugh ever since.
James has headlined comedy clubs across the country and was featured in the “New Faces of Comedy” showcase at the prestigious Montreal Just For Laughs Festival. His TV credits include Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, CMT’s Comedy Stage, and Dry Bar Comedy, where his special Rurally Funny continues to earn rave reviews.
